In an era of rapid technological change, global competition and shifting labour dynamics, industry demands not just workers—but ready talent. The burden of upskilling the unskilled can no longer rest solely on businesses. Our mission is to bridge that gap: to cultivate a workforce that is not just employable, but future-proof, adaptable and proud of what it can contribute.

 

At DSDE, we believe in the incredible potential of every young individual. We are committed to equipping youth with practical, industry-relevant skills that not only prepare them for today’s job market but empower them to shape the future with confidence and creativity.

 

The Department currently oversees 10 Government ITIs and supports 3 Private ITIs, collectively offering a wide range of Engineering and Non-Engineering trades. These institutions nurture the unskilled youth of the State by equipping them with market-relevant skills through both conventional and multi-skilling programmes. Importantly, every Government ITI is guided by an Institute Management Committee (IMC), chaired by a leading industrialist, ensuring that industry feedback directly shapes and strengthens our training standards.

 

Our ITIs, supported by experienced trainers, state-of-the-art infrastructure, and industry partnerships, provide an environment where you can transform your passion into a profession. Through innovative programs, apprenticeships, and hands-on learning, we ensure you are ready to meet the challenges of tomorrow’s workplace.
