1.        What are the courses offered in the ITIs? There are altogether 42 Courses offered in various ITIs. The details are given in the Prospectus (May refer page no. 11 to 58).
2.        What is the certification awarded after completion of training? After successful completion of training, the trainees are awarded National Trade Certificate (NTC), under NCVT, and Trade Certificate under SCVT.
3.        What is the eligible age limit? Minimum age required is 14 years as on 01.06.2023 for all the courses, except Driver cum Mechanic Course, for which minimum age required is 18 years.
4.        Is ITI Certificate equivalent to Diploma? Not equivalent, ITI is Skill development and Job oriented training and certification course.
5.        From where can I buy the Prospectus? Prospectus can be purchased from any nearby Govt/ Private ITIs or from Directorate of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Panaji.
6.        Where do I need to submit my application for admission? The application form for admission is required to be submitted online at Goa Online Portal.
7.        How do I come to know, which Course is available, where? The details are available in the Prospectus

8.        How do I know the Employment opportunities for the selected Course? The details are available in the Prospectus

9.        What are my future prospects after completion of Course? The details are available in the Prospectus

10.    What are the Course

Timings?

The course timings are from 8.00am ā€“ 3.30pm in the 1sā€™ shift and from 10.00am ā€“ 5.30pm in the 2nd shift (including Lunch break)
11.    Is there any transport facility available at the ITIs? Yes, transport facility is available for all the Government ITIs, except ITI Bicholim and ITI Mapusa;
12.    ITI courses are affiliated to which Council/s? Courses offered at ITIs are affiliated to National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) or State Council for Vocational Training (SCVT) as per the details given in the Prospectus(May refer Annexures at pageno.82 to89).
13.    How many Government ITIs are there in the State? There are Ten Government ITIs located in the State. Detailed information available in this Prospectus at page no. 04.
14.    Is there any linkage of the ITIs with the Industry? All the Government ITIs have Institute Managing Committees, whose Members, including the Chairman, are drawn from reputed local Industries;
15.    Are there any Holidays / Leaves admissible to Trainees? Trainees are allowed to avail same number of Holidays as declared by the Government of Goa. Further, Casual, Medical and Special Leaves are also applicable as per details available in the Prospectus;
16.    What are the disciplinary measures required to be followed by the trainees? The Trainees are required to wear the ITI Uniform/Workshop Dress and l-Card at all times. While, Use of Mobiles in the ITI Campus is strictly prohibited, Ragging in any form is also strictly banned and punishable
17.    What   are       the

concessions/facilities offered to the trainees?

Free transport facility for SC, ST & BPL category, Free uniform cloth and workshop cloth to all trainees. However stitching charges are to be borne by the trainees, free facility for recreation, library, sports etc.
18.    Are there any Scholarships available for trainees? Merit Scholarship & BPL Scholarship are offered. Details are available in the Prospectus.(May refer page no. 61).
19.    Is there any Vertical Mobility possible? Yes, details are available in the Prospectus. (May refer page no. 65 to 66).
20.    What is the eligibility criteria for each Course? Details are available in the Prospectus. (May refer page no. 70 to 73)
21.    What is the Reservation/s available? Details are available in the Prospectus. (May refer page no. 75 to 75).

SC/ST category trainees are eligible to claim for respective trade related trainees tool kit at a max. cost of Rs.2500/-(Rupees two thousand five hundred only)
